The season ended on November 27, 2007. As with previous seasons, CTV Television Network had aired the series in Canada.[1] The show was hosted by Tom Bergeron, with returning judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba. Co-host Samantha Harris gave birth on September 23, 2007;[2] during her leave of absence second-season champion Drew Lachey served as co-host. On October 15, 2007 Harris returned to the show. On August 29, 2007, the celebrity cast was announced on Good Morning America by host Tom Bergeron, judge Carrie Ann Inaba, and reigning celebrity champion Apolo Anton Ohno. Bryan's elimination was especially shocking since Marie Osmond and Jane Seymour remained, although they each received considerably lower scores than Bryan. TV Guide named this the Most Shocking TV Moment of 2007.[citation needed] [edit] Scoring chart Red numbers indicate the couples with the lowest score for each week. Sabrina & Mark performed a Cha Cha Cha that received a 26 from the judges. This was tied for the highest first round score ever (with Mario Lopez & Karina Smirnoff's Cha Cha Cha) at the time (Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas's foxtrot garnered a 27.). Josie Maran was eliminated. Week 2: On the performance night, Jane Seymour was informed that her mother had died. She did not attend the results show the following night. Jane was declared safe at the beginning of the show. Albert Reed was shocked and eliminated. Week 3: All five women scored higher than every man in the competition this week. Sabrina & Mark, Mel & Maks, and Jane & Tony each received a 27. These were among the highest third round scores of DWTS history until Season 7, when Brooke Burke received a 28 on her Viennese Waltz. Wayne Newton was eliminated. Week 4: Sabrina & Mark danced their Paso Doble and received a perfect 30 from the judges. This marked the earliest any contestant had gotten a perfect score for the very first time. Samantha Harris returned after being gone three week on maternity leave. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was eliminated. Week 5: Marie Osmond fainted during the judges' critique of her Samba. She was there to receive her 21 from the judges and did attend the results show the following night. Mark Cuban was eliminated. Week 6: Jane Seymour did not attend the Week 6 results show due to a suspected case of food poisoning. Tony did perform in the group dance for the encore. Also, after a hectic schedule and her lowest scores, Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas were shockingly eliminated. The audience, hosts, celebrities, judges, and fellow bottom-two contenders were in complete shock. Edyta Śliwińska & Carrie Ann Inaba were seen crying later in the show. Sabrina Bryan & Mark's elimination was rated as the most shocking TV event for 2007. Week 7: In honor of Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas, the competitors wore fake tattoos of cheetah paw prints symbolizing Sabrina's role in the Cheetah Girls. Later that night, Marie Osmond received the news that her father had died. She did not appear on the results show and was announced safe at the beginning of the show. Jane Seymour was eliminated. Week 8: Hélio Castroneves and Julianne Hough did an encore for their Quickstep. Cameron Mathison was eliminated. Week 9: Five perfect 30's were given by the judges on the performance night. Len Goodman gave a 10 to every dance of the night except Marie Osmond's Mambo. Jennie Garth was eliminated in the semi-final. Week 10: This marked the first time that since season 1 not one couple in the finals received a perfect thirty on their freestyle. Mark Ballas dislocated his shoulder during his and Sabrina's Cha Cha Cha on the results show. He was immediately sent to the hospital and did not attend the rest of the show. At the end of the season both Julianne Hough & Maksim Chmerkovskiy made a Dancing with the Stars record; they received 9 perfect 30s during their time as professionals. Marie Osmond came in 3rd place, Mel B. became the runner-up, and Hélio Castroneves won the Championship. This is Julianne Hough's second time to win the Championship since Cheryl Burke in season 2 & 3.
