Bailando por un sueño (Argentina) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Bailando por un sueño Format Entertainment Created by Canal 13 Starring Marcelo Tinelli Country of origin Argentina No. of seasons 5 Production Running time 75 min Broadcast Original channel Artear Original run 2006 – incumbent Bailando por un sueño is a segment inside the Argentine television program "Showmatch", broadcast on channel 13. Taking the format of shows such as ¡Mira quién baila! of Spain or Dancing with the Stars of Australia, Bailando por un sueño looks more like the Mexican version. On the contest, a non-celebrity "dreamer" (man or woman) who in addition must be an amateur dancer, is accompanied by an Argentine celebrity in dance routines, in which they will weekly have to demonstrate their skills in various styles such as: Tango, Chacarera, Salsa, Merengue, Flamenco, Rock, Disco, Hip-Hop, Axé, Charleston, etc. and most recently Pole-Dancing, Strip-Dancing and Adagio. The couples are awarded points by a panel of judges and those with the fewer points have to face the public vote to continue in the program. As of June 2007, the show is in its fourth season and the panel of judges continues to include icons of the Argentine entertainment scene like: Reina Reech, Moria Casán, Gerardo Sofovich and Jorge Lafauci. Showmatch, hosted by Marcelo Tinelli, also features another contest of similar characteristics: Singing for a dream or Cantando por un sueño. Both segments have received consistently high ratings and lead their time slots in Argentine TV. From the second season onwards, and unlike the international versions, Dancing for a dream (Argentina) has taken a controversial turn due to the constant bickering that often escalates to verbal bashing and personal attacks between the celebrities and the judges. This could be behind the high ratings of the show. [1][2] Judge Jorge Lafauci is as of the fifth season of the show, the only judge present in all the seasons. He is well-known for being the most exigent judge; arguing that Julio Bocca's dancing style (an Argentine worldwide-known dancer) deserves a 10, his common highest score has always been a 7 (considered as a 10 by the contestans, and even by the rest of the jury), and his lowest score has been a 1, which made him one of the few judges to put this mark (the other being Moria Casán). Even thought, he qualified as an 8 various dances: Third Season 1. Contestants Laura Fidalgo and Gustavo Rojas' Swing. Fourth Season 2. Contestants Paula Robles and Franco Tabernero's Cha Cha Cha. 3. Contestants Paula Robles and Franco Tabernero's first Music Video dance routine (Madonna's Jump). 4. Contestants Paula Robles and Franco Tabernero's second Argentine Cumbia. Fifth Season 5. Contestants Laura Fidalgo and Miguel Brandán's Adagio. 6. Contestants Laura Fidalgo and Miguel Brandán's Music video dance routine (Madonna's Fever). 7. Contestants Valeria Archimaut and Juan Leandro Nimo's Pole dance routine. 8. Contestants Valeria Archimaut and Juan Leandro Nimo's Jive routine. Bailando por el Mundo 10. Contestants Laura Fidalgo and Maxi D'Iorio's Flamenco Rumba. 11. Contestants Laura Fidalgo and Maxi D'Iorio's A Go-Go. Also, he has only qualified as a 9 one dance: Contestants Laura Fidalgo and Miguel Brandán's Latin Adagio. - Contestants Laura Fidalgo and Miguel Brandán's National Rock also earned them an 8 from Jorge Lafauci Contents [hide] 1 Contestants 1.1 Season 1 (Autumn 2006) 1.1.1 Judges 1.2 Season 2 (Winter 2006) 1.2.1 Judges 1.3 Season 3 (Spring 2006) 1.3.1 Judges 1.3.2 Sofovich's replaceaments 1.4 Season 4 (Autumn/Winter/Spring 2007) 1.4.1 Judges 1.4.2 Judges' scoring summary and elimination chart 1.4.3 Dance 1.5 Season 5 (Autumn 2008) 1.5.1 Los votos del Jurado 2 Notes 3 External links [edit] Contestants [edit] Season 1 (Autumn 2006) Celebrity Occupation Partner Placing Carmen Barbieri Actress / TV host / Comedian Christian Ponce Winners Dady Brieva Actor / Comedian Mirtha Lima Runners-up Jessica Cirio Model / Actress Marcelo Petrín Semifinalist Miguel Ángel Cherutti Actor / Comedian Emilia Almada Semifinalist Guillermo Novellis Singer Lorena Musa Eliminated 4th Dalma Maradona Actress / Daughter of Diego Maradona Omar Madeo Eliminated 3rd Pamela David Model / Actress / Former El Bar contestant Pablo Giménez Eliminated 2nd Matías Santoianni Actor Nathalia Rodríguez Eliminated 1st [edit] Judges Jorge Lafauci Laura Fidalgo Zulma Faiad Reina Reech [edit] Season 2 (Winter 2006) Celebrity Occupation Partner Placing Florencia de la V Actress / Comedian Manuel Rodríguez Winners Emilia Attias Model / Actress Lucas Tortorici Runners-up María Eugenia Ritó Actress / Vedette Darío Díaz Semifinalist Moria Casán Actress / TV host / Vedette Leonardo Picinato Semifinalist Miguel del Sel Actor / Singer / Comedian María Leonor Ochoa Eliminated 8th Silvina Luna Model / Actress / Former Gran Hermano contestant Matías Ramírez Eliminated 7th Gino Renni Actor Karina Caregnato Eliminated 6th Emanuel Magician Lorena Battle Ojeda Eliminated 5th Boy Olmi Actor Lorena Paranyez Eliminated 4th Ana Acosta Actress / Comedian Óscar Méndez Eliminated 3rd Pablo Tamagnini Singer / Former Operación Triunfo contestant Fabiana Limanski Eliminated 2nd Pablo Alarcón Actor Viviana Pérez Eliminated 1st [edit] Judges Jorge Lafauci Laura Fidalgo Zulma Faiad Carmen Barbieri [edit] Season 3 (Spring 2006) (featuring an all-female celebrity cast) Celebrity Occupation Partner Placing Carla Conte Model / TV host Guillermo Conforte Winners María Vázquez Model Diego Bogado Runners-up Laura Fidalgo Dancer Gustavo Rojas Semifinalist Ximena Capristo Model / Former Gran Hermano contestant Guido de Paoli Semifinalist María del Carmen Valenzuela Actress Matías Pedemonte Eliminated 11th Luciana Salazar Model / Actress Luis David Jazmín Eliminated 10th Eliana Guercio Model / Actress Diego Viera Eliminated 9th Evangelina Carrozzo Model / Beauty Queen Javier Rojas Eliminated 8th Julieta Prandi Model / TV host Eduardo Garro Eliminated 7th Marcela "La Tigresa" Acuña Boxer Javier Riveros Eliminated 6th Ginette Reynal Model / TV host Pablo Pezet Eliminated 5th Amalia "Yuyito" González Actress Carlos Juárez Eliminated 4th Karina Jelinek Model César Soria Eliminated 3rd Beatriz Salomón Actress Franco Contreras Eliminated 2nd Alejandra Pradón1 Dancer / Stripper Nicolás Avoletta Eliminated 1st Note 1: Miss Pradón had quit the contest on 6 October 2006 on account of health concerns, but agreed to return when she partnered Mr. Avoletta on the elimination round three days later. In the end, after an argument with the panel of judges over her stance in the competition, she left the program before it was revealed that she and Mr. Avoletta had been eliminated by the viewers' vote. In this third season, the panel of judges was presided until 23 November 2006 by entrepreneur and TV producer/host Gerardo Sofovich, alongside journalist Jorge Lafauci, actress and dancer Moria Casán, and actress and dancer Reina Reech. On Tuesday, 21 November, Mr. Sofovich announced that he would be resigning his post as the panel of judges’ president on account of what he felt were “some participants’ insolence and lack of respect for the judges”, and his vexation at the quarrels that had involved him (first with celebrity Laura Fidalgo, with whom he had already had an altercation before the contest, then with Javier Rojas, and lastly with the recently evicted Eduardo Garro). Although the show's host and producer (and Mr. Sofovich's personal friend) Marcelo Tinelli entreated with him to stay, his production stated that his replacements will rotate weekly for the remainder of the show.[3] For the week of November 27, former football star Diego Maradona (who had competed in the Italian Ballando con le Stelle in 2005) took over Gerardo Sofovich's seat in the panel of judges.[4] However, Maradona's appearance lasted only one week. He was replaced with Florencia de la V (winner of the second edition of the show) for the rest of the show's run, but Moria Casán took over the juror's presidency. [edit] Judges Jorge Lafauci Reina Reech Moria Casán Gerardo Sofovich (panel of judges' President) [edit] Sofovich's replaceaments After Sofovich's resignation, the following well-known people in Argentina, took over Sofovich's place, although Moria Casán was renamed as the panel of judges' new President. Diego Maradona (one week) Florencia de la V (three weeks) Samuel Gelblung (semifinals/finals). However, when Samuel Gelblung was judge, Sofovich came back and both of them were part of the panel of judges (only in finals). Ilona Staller vuelve a Italia a recuperarse y su soñador será acompañado por Adabel Guerrero hasta que vuelva. Note B: Karina Jelinek, to begin his choreography of Latin Adagio faded and fell to the ground golpeándose very strong head, and was unable to continue with their action.[5] Debido a las circustancias, ya que es la primera vez que pasa en un Bailando, el jurado le dio otra oportunidad de terminar su performance.
